September 28th - 29th, 2009: Prince George, BC
BCRRHRN's 2nd Annual Conference brought together BC-based rural and remote health researchers to highlight excellence within the discipline and to increase communication, collaboration and to build capacity for rural and remote health research in BC.
Thank you to all of our members that attended, making the event a great success this past week. The conference included 4 pre-conference workshops, 7 breakfast table discussions and 10 concurrent sessions throughout the day. Of 125 participants, more than half of those were from the North and a quarter were students. Dr Ian Graham from the Canadian Institute for Health Research gave an inspiring Keynote Address entitled "Knowledge Translation at CIHR: Where do you fit? How can you participate? What can we do for you?"
